Regional Training on Refugees Response and Management to Kikuube and Kiryandongo district officials.

The 3days Regional Training Workshop on Refugees Response and Management has today the 18th of November 2021 come to an end.

The Workshop which was organised by UNHCR and Ministry of Local Government took place at Kontiki Hotel in Hoimà City .

The main aim of the workshop was enhancing and inducting Refugees hosting district's Officers of Kikuube and Kiryadongo on how to handle, respond and manage Refugees

Innocent Ndahirwe the Refugees Integration and Legal matters officer from the Ministry of Local Government called for Integration, Coordination and team work if there to improve on the lives of Refugees.

Ndahirwe disclosed that there role as local Government in supporting the PPA management is to advise Government and Refugee eligibility on policy and matters relating to Refugees

Tugume Desteo the Kikuube District Refugees projects Co-ordinator made a concern on the rampant transfer of Chief Administrative Officers whereby they have to keep training CAOs on Refugees matters

Kamadi Masembe an Official from Ministry of Local Government tasked Officers to polish up on all the activities they have been emplementing in their home Districts

He also advised the officials to always hold dialogues as away of resolving issues
